I am the Regional Director of Admission and work from my home office in St. Louis, MO. I work with the prospective students in and around the St. Louis area (including mid-Missouri, northeast Missouri and central/southern Illinois) as they consider their options with The University of Tulsa (TU).
Having an intimate academic environment coupled with NCAA Division I sports, TU offers the best of a small school academically and a large school socially. And, with an easy 5 ½ hour drive on I-44 or one-hour direct flight on Southwest Airlines from St. Louis to Tulsa, it’s the perfect distance from home! It’s close enough for students to get home for a special weekend, yet far enough away for students to gain their independence.
I had been working in higher education for 12 years when I joined the TU admission staff in 2003. I’ve been actively involved in the Missouri Association for College Admission Counseling (MOACAC) by serving a three-year term on the Executive Board, by serving on several MOACAC conference planning committees (as well as on joint conference planning committees with the Great Plains Association for College Admission Counseling (GPACAC), and by presenting at many MOACAC state conferences (as well as at joint conferences with GPACAC).In addition, I served on the Local Advisory Committee (a three-year planning committee) for the National Association for College Admission Counseling(NACAC) annual conference held in St. Louis October 2010. I frequently present at college planning workshops around the St. Louis area.
As a native Tulsan who attended Saint Louis University and enjoys working in higher education admissions, this position is the perfect fit for me. I’m excited to share my passion for TU and the city of Tulsa with families in and around the St. Louis area as their students try to find their own perfect fit.
