You are a Member!

Your University of Tulsa experience doesn’t end when you receive your diploma. As a graduate (or former student with at least 60 credit hours of TU coursework), you are automatically a member of the TU Alumni Association and eligible to enjoy all of the benefits that come with membership.

Why Have an Alumni Association?

A lifelong connection between you and your alma mater is mutually beneficial. Membership holds many privileges for alumni. In return, the University relies on alumni participation and support to maintain the University’s high academic standards and reputation for excellence.

The University of Tulsa Alumni Association is an international organization of affiliated chapters with one mission - bolstering and advancing The University of Tulsa. The Association has as its major emphasis:

National Board of Directors

The National Board of Directors serves as the governing board of the Association. The board consists of a representative from each chapter and ten at-large representatives. Meetings are held at least three times per year, generally the Friday prior to Homecoming, a conference call in the winter, and the Friday prior to spring graduation. See the Online Alumni Calendar for meeting dates. The Constitution and Bylaws of The University of Tulsa Alumni Association are available online. Visit the National Board page for a list of directors.

Alumni Association Chapters

The Alumni Association has formed chapters in several metropolitan areas where there are concentrations of TU Alumni. There are currently chapters in Chicago, Dallas, Washington, D.C., Denver, Ft. Worth/Arlington, Houston, Kansas City, National Board, Oklahoma City, St. Louis, and Tulsa.

Alumni Ambassadors

The purpose of an “Alumni Ambassador” program is to reach alumni who do not currently live in chartered chapter cities. These ambassadors basically serve as volunteer leaders for “unofficial chapters.” There may be multiple Alumni Ambassadors per city or region. Alumni Ambassadors do not serve on the National Board of Directors, unless elected as an at-large member or the area becomes officially chartered as an Alumni Association Chapter. Visit the Volunteer page for more information about Alumni Ambassadors.

Alumni Association Committees

As a member of the Alumni Association, we welcome you to volunteer on one of the committees.
