TU Names Outstanding Seniors for 2009

The University of Tulsa will honor 10 seniors on October 31st with the Jess Chouteau Outstanding Senior Award. The seniors will be recognized at halftime of the TU/SMU game at Chapman Stadium.

The Jess Chouteau Outstanding Senior Award recognizes The University of Tulsa seniors who demonstrate exceptional achievement in both academic and service endeavors. Each year the award is bestowed upon ten seniors. Requirements to be considered for the award include maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher, involvement in campus or off-campus activities and the completion of at least 90 credit hours. The award is named after Jess Chouteau, former Director of Westby Center and Public Functions at TU.

TU’s 2009 Jess Chouteau Outstanding Seniors are: Cait Clancy, a Mechanical Engineer major from Tucson Arizona; Blake Hylton, a Mechanical Engineer major from Kansas City; Kelsey Leek, a Management Information Systems major from Kansas City; Jessika McCarver, an Accounting major from Tulsa; Ben Quick, a Biochemistry/Pre Med major from Prairie Village, Missouri; Leslie Sanders, an Accounting and Finance major from Ponca City, Oklahoma; Lauren Santore, a Marketing major from San Diego, California; Ryan Staebell, a Finance major from Bixby; Paige Tryggestad, a Spanish and Pre Med major from Centennial, Colorado and Kyle Wilson, an Exercise Sports Science major from Wichita, Kansas.
