Advanced Placement Summer Institute

The University of Tulsa organizes AP* and Pre-AP* workshops to encourage the development of Advanced Placement* programs, to promote highly-effective teaching techniques, and to make AP* curriculum more accessible to our schools.

  

Summer 2013 Workshops

Week One: July 8-11

Week Two: July 15-18

Week Three: July 22-25


The University of Tulsa, The College Board, and the Oklahoma State Department of Education will sponsor the 17th Annual Tulsa AP* and Pre-AP* Summer Institute to:

  • assist school teachers in further development of existing programs
  • enhance their teaching techniques
  • establish new AP and Pre-AP classes

The University of Tulsa hosts three week-long sessions of AP workshops, with different workshops offered each week.  Each workshop lasts from Monday to Thursday of that week. 

Workshop tuition includes instruction, materials, a light breakfast, refreshments, daily lunch and a special lunch reception.  It also includes double occupancy accommodations at a luxury hotel for participants who live more than 40 miles from Tulsa.   The Oklahoma State Department of Education offers state funding for Certified Oklahoma Public School teachers.
