David Cook to play at TU

Kate Kramer, News Editor

David Cook, the winner of the seventh season of Fox’s American Idol competition in 2008, is coming to the University of Tulsa to play a concert.

The event will be held in the Great Hall in ACAC on April 25, time to be announced.

TU will be the last stop on Cook’s tour, in which he will play at universities and colleges across the nation.

The 25-year-old is an alternative rock singer/songwriter who also plays the guitar and the bass.

He won Urban Tulsa Weekly’s “Absolute Best of Tulsa” award for having the best locally produced, independent album in 2007.

He has released two albums so far: Analog Heart (2006) and David Cook (2008) and is currently signed with RCA 19 Records.

Cook’s first single, “The Time of My Life,” debuted at No. 3 on the Hot 100.
