Information for Graduates


Before the Big Day

Announcements

If you wish to order personalized announcements, you may call Jostens directly at 1-800-353-5299 to place your order. Jostens requires a six-week turn-around on orders, so please allow time for processing.


Caps and Gowns

Jostens representatives will be on campus . For those graduates who were unable to pick up a cap and gown at Senior Salute, please contact the Office of Student Affairs at 631-2327.


Ringing The Bell, Finals Week, Bayless Plaza

Take part in one of TU's grandest traditions! After you have finished your last exam, ring the Cupola Bell on Bayless Plaza. Show your pride as you join the ranks of TU's distinguished graduates!


Obligations

Clear all obligations with the Library and the Business Office before April 23.

Candidates for graduation must have completed a Degree Application Card with their respective college in order to participate in commencement. Undergraduate students complete the application in their Advising Office; Graduate and Law students do so in their Dean's Office.


Graduate Students

Application for a degree should be filed in the Graduate School Office in Lorton Hall when a student enrolls for the final semester of course work. All incompletes must be removed from the student's record, and all other indebtedness to the university satisfied by April 15 for completion in May, by December 1, for the fall semester, or by the last day of class for summer graduation. Thesis and dissertations are due into the library on April 15 (for Spring) and December 1st (for Fall). Questions should be directed to the Graduate School at 918-631-2291.

College of Business Administration Breakfast Reception

Line Up
Saturday, May 9, 9:00am, Reynolds Center

Graduates are to report to to the Practice Gym and go to the registration table for their college to obtain their official name card. Please, no children allowed in Line-Up/Processional.

This card will contain your name and any applicable honors designations to be read by the announcer. The name card will carry your name as requested for your diploma.

The announcer will read only the information preprinted on this card. Alterations and additions will be omitted. If the information on your card is incorrect, report to the table staffed by representatives of the Registrar's Office. Graduates will line up by college.

This same card will be used by the photographer to mail you a proof of the photograph taken as you receive your diploma from the President. Purchase information will be mailed to you by the photographer.


Commencement Ceremonies
Saturday, May 9, 10:00am, Reynolds Center

The Processional will begin at 9:45am; the ceremony will last approximately one and one-half hours. Graduates may not leave the commencement area until the completion of the ceremony and recessional.

Graduates will receive a diploma cover only during commencement exercises. Diplomas will be mailed to each graduate at a later date.
