Afterwards, participants will create an art object that relates to what they just studied in the galleries. Free with museum admission.

Kids Dig Books - Viva México! »

Join us as we listen to stories about life in Mexico, past and present. Learn about the foods, animals, different cultures from Mexico's past, and favorite things children like to do in Mexico. Story time will be in the Maya Ruins - Kids Site, showing a time in Mexico's history. Afterwards, participants will create works of art based on the stories they have just heard. Free with museum admission.
Sunday Matinee Films - "A Place Out of Time: The Bordentown School" »

The Bordentown School served African American youth in New Jersey for seven decades, from 1886 until the 1950s. It was founded to provide students access to a full education which did not exist in the North at that time.

Individuals with early-stage Alzheimer's disease and their care partners are invited for a gallery discussion of specific art pieces followed by a related hands-on art activity.

It's an afternoon of museum fun with open art stations, art hunts in the galleries and special activities. Each station offers different materials and themes as well as teaching artists to help guide and inspire. Families are welcome to experience the different galleries and interactive spaces in the museum and gardens, earning a prize by solving the questions in an art hunt, and experiencing special activities each month. For families with children ages 4 - 15. August Activity – Stay cool creating art about summer foods!
