v Albert K. Murray Fine Arts Educational Fund

Award: Grants available.

Eligibility: Students must be US citizens.  Applicants must be registered as a full time student in an art degree program for the term a grant is received and may be at the bachelor's, master's, or doctoral level. 

Due Date: End of September grants (applications due July 31), end of December grants (applications due October 31), end of March grants (applications due January 31), and end of June grants (applications due April 30).

v    Ford Foundation Diversity Fellowships

Eligibility:  Students must be planning a career in teaching and research at the college or university level.

Award: Stipends are awarded for up to $40,000 per year.

v   Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS)

Eligibility: Funded by a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, was established in 1999 to provide outstanding African Americans, American Indian/Alaska Natives, Asian Pacific Islanders Americans, and Hispanic American students with an opportunity to complete an undergraduate college education, in all discipline areas and a graduate education for those students pursuing studies in mathematics, science, engineering, education, or library science.

Eligibility:  Must be of Hispanic heritage; high school senior, undergraduate or graduate college student; U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident; have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA; must apply for federal financial aid using the FAFSA; and Must plan to enroll FULL-TIME in a degree seeking program

Through the Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship Program, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners supports the education of collegiate accounting and criminal justice students who may become Certified Fraud Examiners.

Awards: Approximately 30 non-renewable fellowships of $20,000 will be awarded to support completion of the dissertation.  This amount must be expended within two years of the award and in accordance with the work plan provided by the candidate.

 

v  Thomas R. Pickering Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship

Eligibility:  Must be interested in becoming Foreign Service Officers in the U.S. Department of State; must begin master's degree program in Fall 2008.

Award: Full tuition, mandatory fees, living stipend (based on institution's room and board rate), books, one round-trip travel for first and second years of graduate school, and paid State Department summer internship in Washington, DC.

Award: Up to $7500

Eligibility: May be given to graduate students who are enrolled in a professional degree program at the doctorate or masters levels in the fields of Jewish Social Service, Jewish Communal Service, Rabbinics, the Cantorate, Jewish Education or Jewish Scholarship.
