Duties of the
Position:
This is a work
position. There is very little (if any) time for study.
The duties in overview are to assist the Director with the functions
of the College. The duties are very broad, you could be working
on a project with an excel spreadsheet, filing, organizing materials,
checking classrooms and preparing a work request listing, clearing
bulletin boards/walls of outdated/wrongfully posted materials, talking
with workers doing remodeling in the building and helping me move
chairs, etc.---all perhaps of these in the same day! Assist with
preparation of the CBA annual Honors and Awards Banquet, assist with
planning and implementation of the activities for the Conoco Phillips
SPIRIT Scholars, and an ever changing variety of other duties related
to Special Projects in CBA. It'll be the hardest job you'll ever
love!
Skills Required
to Perform the Position:
This position
requires a flexible personality that can shift gears and then return
to the initial project at hand without supervisory prodding. The
qualities of the right person for this position are efficiency,
positive attitude, the ability to maintain confidentiality, have
initiative, be flexible, the ability to see the bigger picture, able
to work with a variety of personalities and overall to possess good
time management skills. Interpersonal written and verbal skills
are a plus.
