materials and generates the materials; answers the phone; maintains
office inventory and orders supplies when necessary, installs printer
paper and cartridges, clears paper jams
Skills Required

Knowledge of
ENS Policies, expertise in Mail Merge on Windows; knowledge of Powerpoint and ability to update information in Powerpoint, extensive
knowledge of creating and managing Excel spreadsheets; knowledge of
Dean’s suite printers and copiers; ability to run appropriate labels
for folders; confidentiality

knowledge of Windows XP, DOS and computer networks. Previous
experience or coursework necessary to fulfill duties: ME 1212
and ME 1312 preferred, but not necessary. Supervision given as

Duties of the
Position:
Assists
department secretary in all phases of work in running the department.
Create and maintains databases for recruiting, tracking alumni,
tracking donations, etc. Assists secretary in planning and
making sure Industrial Advisory Board meetings run smoothly.
Runs errands on campus for the department and sometimes answers the
phone for secretary during the lunch hour.
Is also available to the M.E. professors for any work they may have
such as typing, copying, faxing, etc.
Skills Required
to Perform the Position:
Good
typist, knowledge of Window XP and Excel; how to use most office
equipment (copier, fax, etc.) Must be a good oral & written
communicator. Previous work in office setting a plus. Must
be friendly and able to handle a variety of tasks. Must be able
to work with minimal supervision.

Duties of the
Position:
Assists
instructors in Undergraduate Lab preparation by helping with setting
up and taking down of equipment/chemicals used; help make solutions
for labs; wash dishes and help keep labs clean; assist in the Chemical
Engineering office (some) with filing, maintain laboratory gas
cylinder logs, typing, answering phone, entering data on spreadsheets,
processing reports etc.
Skills Required
to Perform the Position:
Experience in
lab safety, at least 2 years of high school Chemistry or the
equivalent with experience in lab work; experience working with
analytical equipment, volumetric flasks, calculator, computer,
photocopier, scanner, etc, knowledge of Word, Excel and other basic
computer programs.
