Title of Student Position:       Lab monitor / research assistant

Number of students requested to fill above position:   4

Duties of the Position:   Monitor computer labs, assist students with computer applications.  Will also be responsible for gathering information from financial databases such as Bloomberg, Compustat, and Reuters and/or researching information to be entered into databases.  May also provide clerical and technical support for faculty.  Provide assistance with preparation of monthly Friends of Finance luncheons.

Skills Required to Perform the Position:  Ability to use a computer, internet, copier, fax, phone.  Will be required to have experience using Microsoft software.  The ability and desire to learn MatLab, SAS, Bloomberg, Reuters, etc. will be helpful in order to research information and assist students in the lab.  Ability to write programs in Access, Excel, etc. would be preferable.  Some training will be available.

Title of Student Position:       Office Assistant

Number of students requested to fill above position:   1

Duties of the Position:  To provide general clerical help to the Finance/Operations Management department such as :  copying, entering information on forms, logs or databases.  They will generate mailing lists; prepare mailings to go out; i.e. stuffing envelopes, etc.  Will routinely use computer applications in performing their job duties (word processing, spread sheets, graphics, and data bases.)
