Title of Student Position:    University Square Clubhouse and Mayo Student Activity Center Attendant

Number of students requested to fill above position:  10-12

Duties of the Position:  Monitor the clubhouse in the evenings for student use, check out and check in equipment to residents, minor cleaning and tidying up after events ensuring clubhouse condition is restored to pre-event quality.  Ensure safety of clubhouse equipment.  Provide customer service to residents during evening hours.  Assist clubhouse  patrons with the use of the Audio/Visual equipment in the clubhouse.

Skills Required to Perform the Position:   Basic customer service, attentiveness, ability to complete simple forms and check ID's to confirm apartment residency.

Beginning and Ending Dates of the Position:     August 20, 2007-   May 12, 2008

Title of Student Position:    Office Assistant

Number of students requested to fill above position:  5

Duties of the Position:   Read and interpret university housing/dining agreements, assist students and families with related questions.

Maintain appropriate confidentiality of all related educational records.

Direct student to appropriate forms for room and meal plan changes, housing exemption procedures, etc.  Respond to related questions.

Answer phones and greet students and parents appropriately as they enter the office.

Be prepared to show display rooms in each Residence Hall and answer questions about living on campus.

Maintain storage areas in an orderly fashion.

Organize and refill form/booklet racks and display areas.

Other office duties as assigned.

Skills Required to Perform the Position:   Present a positive image of the university and have responsive customer service attitude and demeanor.  Proper phone procedures.

Typing, excel and word.  Copying and documents assembly.
