Duties of the
Position:
Student callers will contact alumni to share news about The University
of Tulsa and the various colleges, share news of upcoming alumni
events, update alumni records, make a case for financial support,
conduct research to locate lost alumni using internet web sites and
other available resources, ask alumni to make a financial commitment
to The University of Tulsa Annual Fund, handle objections as necessary
during the call and answer questions that alumni may have. Students
may also be required to contact donors regarding pledge payments and
take RSVPs for alumni/special events in chapter cities. Callers are
expected to maintain accurate statistics of calls attempted/completed
during each calling shift. Callers are required to write personal
notes to alumni after the call when appropriate and perform other
tasks as assigned.
Skills Required to
Perform the Position: Candidates must have excellent communication
and organizational skills. They must understand and comply with all
university and departmental rules, regulations, policies and
procedures. Candidates will have the ability to read, write and
communicate verbally in English. They will also have the ability to
perform basic math, maintain clear and legible handwriting, establish
and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and
supervisors, work independently (self-motivated), and also able to be
part of a team.

Shifts are Monday – Thursday 5:30pm – 9:30pm and Sunday 4:00pm –
