The University of Tulsa
Established in 1894, the University of Tulsa is a private institution with approximately 4,100 undergraduate and graduate students. Located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, TU provides students with small classes where faculty and staff form close working relationships with students, made possible by the 11:1 student-faculty ratio and the average class size of 19.
The University of Tulsa provides flexibility in choosing courses and study programs, and research is an integral component of the educational experience.
The University grants Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral, and Law degrees through its approximately 90 areas of study included in the Colleges of Arts & Sciences, Engineering & Natural Sciences, Business Administration, Law, and Graduate School. Living at the University of Tulsa
Most exchange students live on campus at TU, allowing them to have access to TU facilities and participate easily in student events. Residence halls or apartments are the two options for housing on campus.

Residence Halls
All bedrooms in residence halls come fully furnished with beds, closets, and dressers. You must supply your own bed sheets, pillows and blankets. Also included in all residence halls are basic expanded cable, local telephone service, voicemail, Ethernet access and wireless internet. Residence halls will either provide community-style bathrooms or private bathrooms, depending on the Hall and room style. Room sizes are typically the same in all halls, while room styles may vary, either single, double, or suite.
It is common on U.S. college campuses for students to share accommodations, so it is important to note that there is only a limited number of single rooms and suites available in John Mabee Hall and Lottie Jane Mabee Hall.

Campus Apartments
The University of Tulsa recently constructed the Mayo and Brown Village Apartments in addition to the University Square Apartments. Apartments are a great option for students who desire an independent style of living.
All campus apartments come unfurnished but include basic expanded cable, local telephone service, voicemail, Ethernet access and wireless internet. Please note that in addition to paying rent and buying food or a meal plan, you are required to pay for electricity each month and initialize it 24 hours prior to your arrival on campus. Contact the Apartment Office via e-mail or at 918.631.5248 for more information. Gas, water, and utilities are included in the occupation charges at the onset of the semester.

Language House
The Language House is a division of TU’s Language Department located in University Square Apartments. With the amenities of all campus apartments, these 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartments provide a unique living and learning experience for students of different cultures and tongues. International exchange students and TU students who have studied abroad and/or are studying foreign language are eligible to live here and share the many cultures represented here at TU.

TU Estimated Cost of Attendance per Semester
As an incoming international exchange student you are not required to pay the following fees: tuition, international student fees, TU international application fees, student association fees, and enrollment deposits.
- Housing Deposit (Required to reserve and live in campus housing, refundable as long as there is no damage to room or apartment or other violation of housing policy) : $250 *
- Housing on campus : $2,046 - $3,077 per semester, per student, depending on type of housing
- Dining on campus : $1,444 - $2,040 per semester, per student, depending on meal-plan
- Books, depending on course : Approximately $500
- TU Health Insurance (Optional if sufficient insurance has already been purchased) : $435
- Transportation & Personal Expenses : varies
- Other (Students are responsible to pay any library fines, housing damage fees, Health Center charges, etc.) : varies

ISS- International Student Services
ISS works with international students who come to the university to pursue a degree and/or do research on our campus. Additionally, ISS serves as the immigration specialists on campus and works with the U.S. federal government to maintain records of international student activities on our campus.
Most importantly, they issue the DS-2019 document that allows international exchange students to apply for the J-1 exchange visitor study visa.
