About Tulsa

Located in northeastern Oklahoma is Tulsa, one of Oklahoma’s friendliest metropolitan areas. Tulsa, or T-Town as the locals call it, is a unique city, offering the amenities of a diverse urban location alongside the comforts of a peaceful rural pace. With approximately 550,000 people, Tulsa is considered to be “one of America’s most livable cities”.

When you’re tired of studying or if you’re here while class is out of session, Tulsa offers plenty to do:

  • Visit the Gilcrease Musem or the Philbrook Museum
  • Spend an afternoon at the Tulsa Zoo or the Jenks Aquarium
  • Attend Mayfest, Oktoberfest, Reggaefest, Juneteenth Blues & Jazz Festival, the Greenwood Jazz Festival, the TU PowWow, or Folklorico

  • Stroll down Cherry Street on a Saturday morning for the Farmers’ Market
  • Attend a concert at Cain’s Ballroom downtown
  • Spend an evening at the Tulsa Performing Arts Centre (PAC) for a symphony, ballet, opera, or musical
  • Visit one of the many local art galleries
  • Catch a local team’s baseball, hockey, basketball, or football game
  • Play on one of Tulsa’s many golf courses
  • Take daytrips to wildlife preserves, museums, wineries, lakes, or the state capitol
