The International Leadership Program (ILP) is a program sponsored by the Center for Global Education to offer support and opportunities to students returning from international experiences. It also serves to promote study abroad to prospective participants.

Two groups comprise ILP: CGE Peer Advisors and Globe Trekkers:

CGE Peer Advisors

CGE Peer Advisors assist students throughout the entire study abroad process. From offering insight on countries, programs and traveling to coping with reverse culture shock. CGE Peer Advisors encourage TU students to step off campus and experience the many international opportunities available to them outside Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.

It is a paid position and to apply, students should fill out the Peer Advisor Application and e-mail it to wendy-sheets@utulsa.edu.

Globe Trekkers

Returning students are invited to become Globe Trekkers who assist the CGE by giving presentations, sharing personal experiences, organizing events, and promoting international opportunities. Globe Trekkers form the general membership of the International Leadership Program, and any TU student (or TU exchange student) who has participated in a TU-sponsored study abroad program is eligible to become a Globe Trekker. Students sign up by filling out the ILP Member Interest form and e-mailing it to globaleducation@utulsa.edu or just showing up for CGE events.

The ILP is dedicated to making the TU community more aware and open to opportunities to study, work, and volunteer overseas.
