To All Graduate Students, both new and returning:
You are officially invited to become involved!
A new school year is always an exciting time, both for returning students and those students just beginning their graduate experience. For those of you who are new, the Graduate School and GSA would like to extend you a warm welcome. We hope that your time at TU is rewarding professionally and satisfying personally.
GSA serves as a bridge between graduate students and the faculty, staff, and administration that are there to meet your needs. Help us to help you – feel free to approach GSA with any questions or concerns you may have as a graduate student, as well as any ideas you may have to bring students from all departments together.
Elections for new GSA officers will be later this week. If you are interested in running or would like to nominate someone, please visit the GSA website at http://orgs.utulsa.edu/gsa/.
Let’s work to build a strong graduate student community and presence on TU campus over the coming year and we look forward to seeing you at GSA events in the near future. |

Dear TU Graduate Students,
If you are new to graduate studies this year, I would like to welcome you to TU and congratulate you again. We are very glad to have you chose to join our community and look forward to your contributions. If you are a returning student, welcome back and I hope you have another rewarding and fulfilling year.
It is an exciting time for graduate education at TU. I am constantly impressed with the quality of the research and creative activities of our graduate students and our faculty. In an effort to improve the quality of our communications with students and faculty, we would like to introduce a new initiative for the graduate community – our first electronic newsletter. We are interested in having your comments regarding this newsletter, so please feel free to contact the Graduate School with any of your suggestions or questions.
We are always looking for ways to make your lives easier and your learning experience as fruitful as possible. This electronic newsletter is meant to serve as a resource for strengthening the TU graduate community as a whole. We are also hopeful that this newsletter will help highlight the scholarship and accomplishments of our students and faculty.
We realize the demands that can be placed on a graduate student and we want you to receive the best education possible. The Graduate School is here to help you. Please feel free to call us, email us, or drop by at any time if you have questions or concerns about your graduate activities.
Best Wishes,
Janet Haggerty Associate Vice President for Research and Dean of the Graduate School |
