TRACK TWO--ENRICHMENT
Students enrolled in the enrichment track must complete a minimum of
thirty semester hours of graduate course work with a grade point average of not less than
3.0. There is a thesis option and a
non-thesis option available to all students in the enrichment track. All students must pass written comprehensive
examinations.

Hist
7003 The Nature of History
15
semester hours in a major field of concentration. These
courses will include one research seminar.
6
semester hours outside the major field. These
courses can be in history, the humanities, social sciences or law.
6
semester hours of Hist 7981 Research and Thesis. The
student selects a topic and works with a committee composed of three members. Students participate in an oral defense of their
thesis upon completion.
Pass a written comprehensive examination in
the major and minor areas. These exams are taken in the last year of graduate work.
9 semester hours of upper level history courses as needed for deficiencies.
Hist 7003 The Nature of History
15 semester hours in a major field of
concentration. These courses will include one

6 semester hours outside the major field. These courses can be in history, the humanities,
social sciences or law at the University of Tulsa.
12 hours of additional coursework in
history.
Pass a written comprehensive examination in
the major and minor areas. These exams are
taken in the last year of graduate work.
