In response to President Upham’s Fall 2007 “State of the University Address” calling for the need to develop interdisciplinary research programs, the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs created a Spring 2007 competitive grant program.

As a result of this competition, five Interdisciplinary Institutes were funded and have been created. These new institutes are listed below and we encourage you to visit their web sites.
