| International Student Organizations |
| There are approximately 150 student organizations on campus including international student clubs, academic and social clubs, student government, and recreational sports. The University's intramural sports program offers participation in more than 30 different sports including tennis, volleyball, soccer, and racquetball. Field trips, parties, and other social functions are hosted by most of the student organizations. The Allen Chapman Activity Center (ACAC) is the focal point for on-campus activities. The two-story facility features a bookstore and gift shop, an automated teller machine, mail services, a suite of student activity offices, an atrium, and an outdoor patio. The Hurricane Hut, TU's student pub, features a live jazz band on the weekends. A full-scale cafeteria with a daily fresh salad bar is also located in ACAC. Comfortable chairs and sofas are located throughout the building for visiting with friends or studying. In the residence halls, students help determine rules, regulations, and activities. The TU Student Association, through its legislative, executive, and judicial branches, decides on issues ranging from the use of student activity fees to recommendations in policy to the University's administration. With 4,300 undergraduate and graduate students, we are able to bring to campus exceptional art shows and well-known performers, speakers, and entertainers. Yet, we are small enough to ensure that everyone who wants to attend an activity will be able to do so. |
