Campus User Name

The University of Tulsa has assigned each student, faculty, and staff a user name that provides access to various University computer services.

Several of these services include:

To access various systems you must know your user name and the password associated with your user name.

User Name

Your user name most often has this structure: firstname-lastname (i.e. john-doe). Some user names differ from this structure. You can verify your user name from the Campus Search on the University home page or the directory in myTU.

Now you need to type in your first or last name or both if it’s a common name.

The listing will show all possible matches for the entered name. It will show the full name, phone number and email address. Your user name is what appears before the @ in the email address. Example: if your e-mail is displayed as john-doe@utulsa.edu then your user name is john-doe.

Your user name is case-sensitive. Use all lower case letters, (hint: if you have trouble, verify that the caps lock is not on).

Your initial password for your user name is generated when your login is created. You should receive an e-mail when your user account is created indicating your password if you have an internet e-mail address on file. If you do not know your initial password contact the Client Services IT Desk to receive information on your initial password.  .

Username Change:  In the case of a legal name change, or a correction of misspelling, to change your username/email you will first need to ensure that your Student/Faculty/Staff record is correct.  Once your official record is correct, contact us at the IT Desk, to begin the username change process.
