THE PROGRAM & THE PLACE
TU Law has a new energy, illustrated by a recent historic leap in the U.S. News and World Report Rankings. TU Law is a Top 100 law school in the U.S., and has ascended 61 spots in the rankings in only four years. With its unique geographic and historical position in one of the U.S.'s most dynamic energy producing states, TU Law is uniquely poised as a leading law school that is grooming the global Energy Lawyers of tomorrow. TU Law is a small, private law school, and opened in 1923 and is fully accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA). The Law School’s student body is 350 students and supports a personalized law school experience.
TU Law offers an LL.M. degree in American Law for Foreign Lawyers that features a concentration in Energy Law. Through the Energy Law concentration students examine legal and policy approaches for achieving the important goals of energy reliability, sustainable supplies of natural resources, and a healthy environment. In addition to a firm foundation in the underlying tenants of Americain law, the energy concentration allows for an individiually designed thematic focus. Students also have access to environmental, natural resources and energy-themed student associations, events at the law school and at TU's National Energy Policy Institute, as well as networking opportunities with TU Law's Sustainable Energy Resources Law Board of Visitors, seasoned professionals in the energy law firms, companies and NGOs. Entrance into the Energy Law concentration is limited and competitive.
