What are the requirements to join Tulsa
Law Review? The Law Review is open to any
full-time or part-time student who has
successfully completed 20 credit hours and whose
cumulative GPA is 3.2 or higher.
Students who fall below 3.2 but have a
cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher are eligible for
the "write-on” program during the summer. The
write-on program is set up to test a student's
proficiency within the areas of legal reasoning
and writing. The decision to accept candidates
exercising this option is left to the exclusive
control of the Editorial Board, who will
objectively review the writing sample submitted
and notify those who qualify that they have been
selected as candidates.
Students accepted based on GPA or the
write-on process will remain candidates for
their first semester. Candidates will have an
active role in the editing process—primarily
checking citations, and will also write a paper
that will serve as the candidate’s seminar
requirement if accepted by the Editorial Board
as reaching publishable quality. Upon successful
completion of the candidacy semester, the
student will become a full member of Law Review.
All members are required to dedicate four
semesters to the Law Review.
