Since 1956, Nimrod has brought to its readers the finest poetry, prose, and art from gifted newcomers and from established artists. Nimrod invites good readers and good writers to join in the discovery and preservation of the stories and poems. Nimrod also brings to its readers a concerned and systematic reading of each manuscript received; at least one issue per year is devoted to a tantalizing theme or subject that is just beginning to surface; and, the Nimrod Literary Awards, which have gained national attention for over 30 years.
