Harvey is our online learning management system and virtual academic commons powered by Blackboard Learn. Instructors using Harvey can present course materials to students for anytime access through the web. All enrolled students, faculty and full-time staff have a login to Harvey.
Harvey includes several tools that can be used to enhance courses depending on instructors' use including grades, communications, quizzes, surveys, and group work. Harvey even includes a class photo roster for instructor access.
Until recently we referred to our online course area as WebCT. Some might also call it Blackboard or Vista. We are currently running two versions of Blackboard in Harvey while we are upgrading the courses during the upcoming semesters. Vista is the older version and can be found Courses page once logged into Harvey. The new Harvey courses are listed in the My Courses list.
Faculty interested in using Harvey should go to our Faculty Resource Center site for special details on using Harvey in instruction.
We have two login areas for Harvey: 1) those using courses and orgs and 2) those using Outreach. Both can be reached from the Harvey home page at harvey.utulsa.edu.
To access the courses you must know your campus user name and password or have a guest username. To access a specific course in Harvey you must be added to the course by our automatic enrollment from Datatel or by the instructor unless it is a course that allows self-registration.
Login with your campus username and password on the Harvey home page or using the Login at the top.
