Status: Project Complete
Positioned at the focal point of TU's new south entrance project, Collins Hall provides a stunning gateway into the TU campus for visitors and alumni.
This ambitious construction project united the existing buildings of the Thelma Ruth Shaw Alumni Center and Whitney Hall within a substantial new space that created a cohesive structure to serve a wide variety of purposes.
The resulting two-story, 39,000-square-foot building was dedicated on Aug. 23, 2007. Collins Hall consolidates key student services, such as financial aid and admission, into one central location. Collins Hall additionally houses the TU Alumni Association offices with meeting spaces for alumni activities, as well as areas where university memorabilia can be displayed. Key university administrators, including the president, have offices within the building.
Collins Hall was named in honor of TU Trustee Chairman Fulton Collins and his wife, Susie, who also is a trustee. Their uncompromisingly high standards and keen sense of what matters most to students are evident throughout the facility.
