McFarlin Library Annex
McFarlin Library Annex
Status: Project Complete
The McFarlin Library Pauline M. Walter Academic Technology Center was officially dedicated September 30, 2009.
The 12,000-square-foot annex consolidates the library's computing and technology resources into one location. The project also allowed the restoration of quiet areas for study: the library's reading rooms, the Gray Student Commons, and the Ann and Jack Graves Faculty Study. It also restored the Frances W. O'Hornett Grand Foyer and added the Cort and Martha Dietler Cafe for study breaks and fellowship.
The two-story annex is connected to the library adjacent to the library's northern face. Its construction blends seamlessly into the existing historic structure.
