The TU Alert text-messaging service is a key component of the university's emergency notification program.
In the event of a major life-safety or public-health emergency on campus, TU Alert will notify and advise students, faculty and staff via a number of communication channels, including text message.
Members of the community are strongly encouraged to enroll in the program at the link under "myTU Essentials" off of the TU technology page. If they do choose to participate, they will sign up to receive a text message by providing their cell phone number.
