Position Summary
The University of Tulsa’s School of Art invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of 19th Century through Contemporary Art History beginning Fall Semester 2010. PhD in Art History required. Ideal candidate will be able to excel in teaching and to engage actively in research. Responsibilities will include: teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of nineteenth-century through contemporary art mentor a growing number of art history majors and enhance a traditional studio art program pursue a research agenda
The University of Tulsa is located in an urban setting with access to three major museums, the Philbrook Museum of Art, the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art, and the Gilcrease Museum of the Americas.
