Position Summary
The position is funded by a start-up biotechnology company headquartered in California, focusing on the catalytic conversion of algal oils to fuels. The successful applicant will support the process by providing engineering support for design of catalytic reactors, bioreactors, and process modeling. The position will begin in January 2009. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D in chemical or biochemical engineering, or closely related field. Required qualifications are laboratory experience with analytical instrumentation, experience with designing and construction of catalytic reactors, and excellent communication skills.
