Peer Review

You are published and competent in your field. Are you ready to be a reviewer? Given a paper to review do you know what is expected of you? What ethical issues might arise as you review the paper and how will you balance professional courtesy with the need to be clear and direct about scientific and pedagogical issues?

The Office of Research Integrity web site has valuable information on this and other Research Integrity subjects.  We would particularly like to recommend the document Ethics of Peer Review: A Guide for Manuscript Reviewers that can be found here.  Also, the remaining Yale references that are found here.
