Event Policies
Alcohol Policy
The University of Tulsa observes all state laws and regulations governing the sale, purchase, and serving of alcoholic beverages by all members of its community and expects that these laws will adhere to all events associated with The University of Tulsa. When approved in advance by the Vice President for Business and Finance, alcohol may be served at a limited number of University sponsored special events. Alcohol will never be served or sold at any athletic event.
Animals
Animals are not permitted in the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Exceptions include guide, sign and signal dogs to aid patrons with disabilities.
Cameras and Recording Devices
The permitted use of cameras varies by event. Cameras with professional lenses and flash attachments are prohibited from the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
Carry In Items
The following items are not permitted in the Donald W. Reynolds Center:
Bottles or cans
Food
Coolers
Frisbees or Beach Balls
Laser Pointers
Any noise making devices
Fireworks
Illegal Drugs or Alcohol
Weapons and Dangerous Devices of Any Type
Smoking
The University of Tulsa adopted a Smoke-Free Policy effective June 1, 1991. The policy applies to all University facilities including the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Anyone observed smoking inside the facility shall be subject to immediate ejection.
Incident Reports
Any incident involving a Donald W. Reynolds Center patron or employee should be documented by the event manager and immediately turned in to the Director of Facilities for Campus Events. Complete details of the incident should be documented in an accurate manner.
Guest Services Suite
The Guest Services Suite is located on the West concourse level behind section 117.
Elevators
For those requiring assistance to reach the concourse level or arena level, one passenger elevator is located at the West end of the Intercollegiate level. This elevator is accessible from both the East and West entrances of the arena.
Lost and Found
Any items found before, during and after an event should be turned in to the Administrative Offices located on the Intercollegiate Level. All items will be held for 90 days and can be claimed by calling (918) 631-5225 or stopping by the Administrative Office Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Food and Beverage
Patrons may not bring food or beverages into the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Proper trash receptacles are located at all entrances for the disposal of such goods before entering the facility.
For the outside leasing of the facility, event food service can be arranged through University Catering. All food served in the Reynolds Center shall be provided by University Catering. For information, please call the Administrative Offices at (918) 631-5225.
Lost Children/Persons
Anyone finding a lost child should stay with him or her at the same location for 10 minutes. The usher or supervisor will escort the child to the Guest Services Suite after 10 minutes and the event manager will be notified immediately. A public address announcement will be made instructing the parents/guardians to report to the Guest Services Suite. If the child is not picked up within 60 minutes of the event's conclusion, the Tulsa Police Department will be notified by the event manager.
Patron Appearance
Patrons entering the arena must be properly attired with shoes and a shirt. These items must be worn at all times in the facility.
Disorderly Conduct
Patrons who fail to abide by the Policies and Procedures, as well as state and federal laws, are subject to ejection from the facility. Any patron who is violating arena policies will be asked to correct their behavior. If they fail to do so in a timely fashion, ejection will occur. If anyone observes objectionable behavior, please contact the nearest usher. At that time, he or she will contact the event supervisor who will deal with the situation in an appropriate manner. Individuals who have been ejected from the facility must vacate Reynolds Center property or be subject to arrest on trespassing charges.
Firearms/Weapons
No persons are permitted to bring weapons of any kind into the Reynolds Center with the exception of local, state, and federal law enforcement officials. The University of Tulsa, as a private institution, in conjunction with Title 21 Oklahoma Statutes section 1277D and 1290.22, prohibits carrying concealed weapons on colleges and university campuses. Anyone caught in violation of this policy will be subject to disciplinary action under this statute.
First Aid
Proper medical personnel will be available at all public events. If medical attention is needed for any reason, such requests can be made through any available usher or at the Guest Services Suite.
Disabled Patrons
It is the goal of the Donald W. Reynolds Center to fully accommodate every patron. If special arrangements are needed, please contact the administrative offices at (918) 631-5225 at least 24 hours prior to the event.
