In order to heighten awareness on campus, each day the Campus Crime Watch is uploaded onto this site. Incidents are listed in chronological order with the most recent events first. If you have any information regarding any of these incidents, please contact Security at ext. 5555. For purposes of reporting accuracy and timeliness, a day is specified as 12:01am to 12:00am.

Time: 01:30 A.M.
Synopsis of Incident: Security along with Emergency Medical Personnel responded to the Honors House in reference to a student who was unresponsive. The student was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment. A copy of this report will be forwarded to Housing officials for their review.

Synopsis of Incident: Security conducted a welfare check of a student at a Mayo Village Apartment. A copy of this report will be forwarded to Housing officials for their review.

Time: 03:00 A.M.
Synopsis of Incident: Security shut down a loud party at a University Square South apartment after receiving an afterhour’s complaint. A copy of this report will be forwarded to Housing officials for their review.

Time: 10:45 A.M.
Synopsis of Incident: Security issued a traffic complaint ticket to a person who drove their vehicle through a manned barricade at the 8th/Gary location.

Synopsis of Incident: Security took a theft report from a student residing in Lafortune Hall. The student was missing several items from their room. A copy of this report will be forwarded to Housing officials for their review.

Synopsis of Incident: Security received a vandalism report from a student who had their vehicle vandalized while it was parked at a University Square South apartment. A copy of this report will be forwarded to Housing officials for their review.

Synopsis of Incident: Security wrote a traffic complaint ticket to a student who was driving in a reckless manner near the McFarlin Lot.

Synopsis of Incident: Security towed a vehicle from a Lorton Village apartment parking area due to excessive parking ticket violations. A copy of this report will be forwarded to Housing officials for their review.

Synopsis of Incident: Security responded to the report of students throwing live chickens near the bonfire. The suspects were wearing masks and had been seen elsewhere on the campus throwing chickens at people. Security did not capture anyone in the area.

Synopsis of Incident: Security responded to another chicken incident involving two masked men wearing all black clothing at a sorority house.

Synopsis of Incident: Security shut down an unauthorized party at a fraternity house where intoxicated persons were gathered on the roof of the house. A copy of this report will be forwarded to Student Affairs for their review.

Synopsis of Incident: Security took an informational report concerning a vehicle parked on a University Square West apartment parking area. A copy of this report will be forwarded to Housing officials for their review.

Synopsis of Incident: Security investigated a suspicious call from someone outside the university to an employee in Athletics concerning some supposed grievance the person had.

Synopsis of Incident: Security took a report from a student concerning an alleged grievance with her ex boyfriend and his current girlfriend.

Synopsis of Incident: Security towed a vehicle from a patient parking only slot on the north side of the Mary K. Chapman Center. The vehicle had no permit and had received previous tow warnings and tickets.

Synopsis of Incident: Security took a theft report from a TU employee who had a laptop computer stolen from their personal vehicle at an off campus location. A Tulsa Police report was filed concerning the theft.

Synopsis of Incident: Security along with Emergency Medical Personnel responded to a sick/ill student at Lottie Jane Mabee Hall. The student was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment and diagnosis. A copy of this report will be forwarded to Housing officials for their review

Definitions

Aggravated Assault
An unlawful attack by one person upon another for the purpose of inflicting severe or aggravated bodily injury. This type of assault usually is accompanied by the use of a weapon or by means likely to produce death or great bodily harm. Simple assaults are excluded.
Arson
Any willful or malicious burning or attempt to burn, with or without intent to defraud, a dwelling house, public building, motor vehicle or aircraft, personal property of another, etc.
Burglary
The unlawful entry into a building or other structure with the intent to commit a felony or a theft.
Drug Violations
Violations of state or local laws relating to the unlawful possession, sale, use, growing, manufacturing, and making of narcotic drugs.
Forcible Sex Offenses
Any sexual act directed against another person, forcibly and/or against that person’s will; or not forcibly or against the person’s will where the victim is incapable of giving consent.
Hate Crimes
A crime against a person or property motivated by bias toward race, religion, ethnicity/national origin, disability, or sexual orientation.
Liquor Violations
The violations of laws or ordinances prohibiting the manufacture, sale, transporting, furnishing, possessing of intoxicating liquor. (Drunkenness and driving under the influence are not included in this definition.)
Motor Vehicle Theft
The theft or attempted theft of a motor vehicle. Motorboats, construction equipment, airplanes, and farming equipment are specifically excluded from this category.
Murder/Non-negligent Manslaughter
The willful (non-negligent) killing of one human being by another.
Negligent Manslaughter
The killing of another person through gross negligence.
Robbery
The taking or attempting to take anything of value from the care, custody, or control of a person or persons by force or threat of force or violence and/or by putting the victim in fear.
Weapons Violations
The violation of laws or ordinances dealing with weapon offenses, regulatory, in nature, such as: manufacture, sale, or possession of deadly weapons; carrying deadly weapons, concealed or openly; furnishing deadly weapons to minors; aliens possessing deadly weapons; and or attempts to commit any of the aforementioned.
