Allen Chapman Activity Center

More Than Just a Student Union

Open year-round, Allen Chapman Activity Center is one of the primary sites for accommodating the event-related needs of the University and - on a more limited basis - those of community friends. Construction of ACAC (ack-ack) was made possible in 1987 by the generous $6.6 million dollar donation from Mr. and Mrs. Chapman of Tulsa, Oklahoma. ACAC is a 78,000-square-foot, two-story building with a center atrium design. Enhancing the appeal are the broad windows that open to beautiful views of the campus.

Casual Campus Life Environment

ACAC serves as the "community center" for university students, employees, alumni, and guests. Immediately surrounding ACAC are seating areas with covered picnic tables and benches, and the spacious "Outback" - green space for relaxing, studying or for planned activities.

The building also hosts multiple services, meeting rooms, dining sites, as well as casual seating areas and study spaces. The facility has lap-top wireless capabilities for the TU community; and, TU students enjoy many other conveniences available to assist with their daily activities, social interactions, and academic pursuits.
