Position Description for Graduate Assistants (Academic Counselors)
The Center for Student Academic Support Graduate Assistants (G.A.) are selected from a pool of applicants in various colleges who are in good academic standing and enrolled as a full-time students. Graduate Assistants work in the Center for twenty hours per week to fulfill their assistantship requirements. The G.A.s provide various services with their primary functions including individual academic assistance and the facilitation of campus-wide academic workshops. Graduate Assistants will become familiar with concepts and methods of providing academic assistance, confidentiality, professional ethics, recordkeeping, professional communication, academic and personal responsibility, student development of college students, and giving presentations.
Minimum requirements include holding a bachelor’s degree, admission and full-time enrollment in a graduate program at the University of Tulsa, and good academic standing.

Position Description for Work Study Study Assistants
The Center for Student Academic Support Work Study Student Assistants are selected from a pool of applicants in various colleges who are in good academic standing and enrolled as a full-time students. Student Assistants work in the Center for up to twenty hours per week to fulfill their job requirements. The ideal candidate works well in a student-centered, courteous and high traffic environment. Endurance and exceptional interpersonal skills are a must. This position provides valuable experience and preparation for working in customer service areas and in jobs that require confidentiality.
Minimum requirements include being a current TU student eligible for Work Study (see Financial Aid for details) and good academic standing.
