Alexander Health Center

The Alexander Health Center provides care and treatment of minor illnesses and minor emergencies for all full- and part-time students.  The Health Center is also available for TU employees. Our goal is to provide individualized health care with professional expertise at a minimal cost.  In addition, we strive to assist individuals in choosing and maintaining healthy lifestyles. 

Health Center Staff

Registered nurses and a physician provide individualized treatment of minor illnesses and injuries and preventative care.  Referrals are made to counseling, physician specialists, emergency rooms, x-ray facilities, and other health care agencies for health problems requiring treatment or resources that exceed the Center's capabilities. 

Hours of Operation

The Health Center is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Women's Clinic is available Thursday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters.

Appointments

Please call (918) 631-2241 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome, but will be accommodated after appointments.  If necessary, the student may be referred to an off-campus physician at the student's expense.

Fees

There is no charge for nurse or physician visits.  There is a charge for medications and/or lab fees which can be charged to the student's University account or paid by cash or check.  Students must present a valid TU identification card.  Students who have graduated are no longer eligible for services at the AHC. 

Class Absences

It is University policy the the Health Center does not issue excuses from class for illness.  This is a matter between the student and the professor.  Please see the Notification of Medical Illness Policy for details.

Confidentiality

All contacts at the Health Center are strictly confidential as protected by law and professional ethics.  No information may be released without written consent of the patient.
