Student Affairs Gives Time at Community Food Bank

Staff members from Student Affairs, Career Services, and the Vice President for Enrollment and Student Services spent the afternoon packing groceries at the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.

Several staff members of Enrollment Student Services officed in the Holmes Student Center spent a couple of hours on July 28th packing emergency food boxes at the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.  The Food Bank recently received a $2 million grant for at risk familes and the food must be distributed by September 30th.  When staff members heard about the need they decided to use the opportunity as a team building project and would like to challenge other departments to take groups to the food bank.

The Food Bank offers shifts from 9:00 - 12:00 and 1:00 - 3:00 Monday - Friday.  For more information, contact Kathy Shelton in the Student Volunteer Center at 631-3535 or kathy-shelton@utulsa.edu.
