Orchards

A. Cristina Emanuela Dascălu

You said absence and distance make the heart grow fonder

I say the unseized roads take us nowhere

What would have been if . . . is just another puzzle

And there is no desire to solve it today

I need this silent, peaceful moment

When dreams are drying in the hot, thin air

Let me love you the only way I know how, totally immersing into you

Giving myself with no regrets and no more thinking

I need my Circe’s experience, I need the temptation

The same way prisoners need their empty, gray walls

It is just a reason of discovering in the dried apples

Blossoms of unordinary merge, petals of dreams
