Biographies

Andrea Bradley, contributor and advertising manager, received her B.A. and M.A. degrees in literature from the University of Tulsa in 1997 and 1999 respectively.  She was initiated into Phi Beta Kappa and was named one of two Outstanding Senior English Students.  She also was awarded the Chair's Prize for Achievement in English Studies as well as the Best Senior Honors Thesis.  She recently published "An Evaluation of Public Education in Oklahoma."

A. Cristina Emanuela Dascalu, contributor and copy editor, and a Ph.D. candidate in literature, launched and founded the Research Colloquium at the University of Tulsa in 1998.  She is an advertising manager for the James Joyce Quarterly.  She has won numerous poetry prizes including third prize in the Sigma Tau Delta Literary Contests for her poem "Dispassion."  She is the recipient of numerous teaching awards such as the Teacher of the Year distinction at Petru Rares High School in Romania and Teaching Award at The University of Tulsa.  She enjoys classical music and painting.

David Farley, assistant editor, is currently working on his dissertation titled "Intellectuals Abroad:  The Modernist Travel Writing of E. E. Cummings, Wyndham Lewis, and Rebecca West."  He has published on Yeats and has an article on Ezra Pound forthcoming from  Paideuma titled "'Damn the Partition!':  Ezra Pound and the Passport Nuisance."

Rosary M. Fazende, copy editor, is a doctoral candidate in English, who is writing her dissertation on women novelists of the Romantic period and education.  She has also been Book Review Editor for Tulsa Studies in Women's Literature.

James Kelley, contributor and copy editor, is completing his Ph.D. in English literature and has published several articles on literary modernism.  In the 1999-2000 academic year, he will be teaching American literature as a Fulbright Junior Lecturer at the University of Magdeburg, Germany.

Lisa Mills, contributor, is pursuing her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.  In 1997 she was awarded the Tulsa Area Human Resources Association Award, and in 1998 she received the Oklahoma Psychology Association Graduate Student Award.

Neeraj S. Nandurdikar, copy editor and contributor, is a masters student in petroleum engineering.  His abstract "Development of Activators for Improved Mud Filter Cakes Containing BFS" is a work in progress.  He is from Bombay, India, and enjoys trekking, reading, and photography.

Pauline Newton, editor and a native of the Texas, is finishing up her coursework in the fall for her Ph.D. in literature requirements.  Her book, Around San Antonio, will be published in 2000.  She enjoys horseback riding and photography.

Nancy Shelton, webmaster, received her B.S.B.A. in MIS/Accounting and M.B.A. from the University of Tulsa in 1996 and 1998 respectively.  She is currently working on her Master of Accounting and Information Systems.
