A second-year student comments on the Hartrick Symposum, an event for students and young attorneys interested in careers in the energy sector, held on March 1 and 2, 2013.
The Hartrick Symposium, was a fantastic experience that provided a rich blend of opportunities for professional networking and insight from energy law practitioners. The presentation of the award to the Honorable Joseph W. Morris offered a chance to mingle and make contacts with energy law attorneys and fellow law students from across the region. The symposium presentations gave students an enhanced visualization of the variety of opportunities available in the energy law landscape. Specifically, the panels presenting the sessions on “The Oil & Gas Attorney” and “Employers’ Perspectives” pulled back the curtain on what employers are searching for in the profiles of hopeful law students.
