Class of 2009, Arts Management

I knew from the moment I stepped foot on campus that TU is where I was meant to be. I visited Tulsa in the first place to learn more about the Arts Management program, and after my first visit -- where I had the chance to meet professors, tour campus with a University Ambassador, and learn all about TU had to offer -- I was sold. I entered my freshman year as an Arts Management major and will graduate in May 2009 with my degree. Choosing TU was a decision I have never regretted!

I'm originally from Sherman, Texas, a small town about an hour north of Dallas, and I was excited about moving to a city like Tulsa with so much to do! On campus or off, Tulsa offers so many opportunities for cultural growth, fun times with your friends, and plenty of other exciting opportunities. Concerts, festivals, fantastic shopping, and great restaurants - Tulsa has it all!

Being involved on campus has provided me with some of my greatest experiences and fondest memories. Greek Life, Relay for Life Committee, University Ambassadors, Student Alumni Council, and the Student Association are all organizations that I have been a part of in my time here at TU. I have found that my involvement in these organizations has been just as important to my college experience as attending all my classes!

The opportunity I had to study abroad in London is something I could write pages about! I worked at the Diorama Arts Center interning and planning a summer music festival for three months while getting school credit. Living in London was unbelievable, and TU's Center for Global Education office made the whole process of planning my trip so easy. My college experience wouldn't have been the same without this opportunity!

I just registered for my last semester of classes this week, and it was definitely very bittersweet. I know I will graduate prepared for whatever challenges the real world throws my way, but I'll also be sad to say goodbye to TU. My college experience couldn't have been more exciting!
