2013 Hartrick Symposium features distinguished energy law leaders

The University of Tulsa College of Law and The Institute for Energy Law partnered to host the 2013 Hartrick Symposium for students and young attorneys interested in careers in the energy sector on March 1 and 2, 2013.  Students and attorneys visited from across the country to attend the event.  The sold-out, two-day event featured several distinguished guest speakers and panelists, and the sessions were designed to include audience participation.

Guest speakers and panelists included Curtis Frasier, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Upstream Americas and Head of Legal USA, Shell Oil Company;  Wendy Daboval, Vice President and General Counsel, Land, Chevron America Exploration and Production Company;  Bob Costello, Senior Division Counsel, Chesapeake Energy Corporation; Steven Otillar, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer and Feld, LLP; John Sardar, Chief Compliance Officer, Noble Energy, Incorporated; and many other recognized energy leaders.

A special kick-off reception was held Friday evening during which The Honorable Joseph W. Morris, former dean of The University of Tulsa College of Law, was presented the inaugural Award for Distinguished Service in Energy Law.
